Can my business vehicle be driven for private use by myself or others?
Yes, you enjoy comprehensive vehicle cover for business and private use on an Open Driver policy. The driver must have a valid South African Driver's Licence and your consent.

What is covered under General Business Insurance?
Our business insurance covers your small business against perils such as theft, fire, rain, and floods. There are up to 20 cover sections you can choose from to ensure the business you built is fully insured. You can choose to include Buildings Combined, Office Contents, Business Interruption and more. We also have specialised cover for Vets, Churches, and Hospitality businesses.
What is covered under the Fire section?
You are covered for damage to property due to fire, lightning or thunderbolt, earthquake, explosion, storm, wind, water, hail, or snow. You are also covered for damage caused by impact (trees, vehicles, satellite dishes, etc). The policy wording has a full breakdown of the cover and relevant conditions.
Is there a joining fee that I have to pay upfront?
No, there is no upfront joining fee. Your cover starts when you pay your first premium.
Will I have to deal with a call centre?
Our personalised approach to business insurance means you will not have to deal with a call-centre. You have a dedicated consultant who will manage your policy. This dedicated consultant will be available via call, email, and sometimes, in person.
What is SASRIA and is it included in my cover?
SASRIA covers you for accidental or intentional damage to your insured property caused by any person or group of people taking part in a riot, strike, lock-out, public disorder, or civil commotion or committing any act which has a political, social, or economic aim, objective, or cause, or in protest against any state or government. SASRIA is included as part of your cover at an additional premium.
Do I have to specify who drives the business vehicle? is SASRIA and is it included in my cover?
No, the vehicles are insured on an Open Driver policy. This means anyone with your permission and a valid South African Driver's Licence may drive your business vehicle.
What happens if my financed vehicle is stolen or written-off and my settlement amount is less than my finance agreement?
You can add the Credit Shortfall additional extension to your policy, where we will cover the difference between the insured value of your vehicle and the settlement amount up to a specified amount. The Credit Shortfall extension must have been added to your cover and active before the claim event.
