1. Any reference in these terms and conditions to “dotsure.co.za” refers to Dotsure Limited (Registration number 2006/000723/06), a licensed non-life insurer and an authorised financial services provider (FSP39925).

 

2. Only South African citizens or those permanently residing in the Republic of South Africa, aged 18 (eighteen) years and over may enter the competition.

 

3. An independent attorney will oversee and certify the conducting of the competition.

 

4. The competition will run from 08:00 on Monday, 2 December 2024, to 18:00 on Tuesday, 31 December 2024.

 

5. To be entered into the competition:

a)  you must submit 2 (two) valid successful motor referrals;

b)  you must obtain consent from the client to share their details with dotsure.co.za; and

c)  the referred client must take up a comprehensive vehicle insurance policy with dotsure.co.za and must have paid their first full premium (for the avoidance of doubt, pro rata premiums do not constitute a full premium) and have their Smart-Box installed.

 

6. For the avoidance of doubt, a valid successful referral means that the client has been issued a policy number, paid their first full premium and dotsure.co.za has received proof that their Smart-Box has been installed.

 

7. Please note that for every 2 (two) valid successful motor referrals you will receive one entry into the competition. However, should you have submitted valid successful motor referrals in the month of October and/or November, your entries will multiply for this month. For example, if you had a total of 2 (two) entries in October and/or November, and only one entry in December, you will have a total of 2 (two) entries. Furthermore, if you had 2 (two) entries in October and/or November and another 2 (two) entries in December, you will have a total of 4 (four) entries for December.

 

8. There will be 3 (three) winners in total.

 

9. The 3 (three) winners will be selected by means of a system generated random draw.

 

10. The winners will be announced by 31 January 2025.

 

11. The qualifying winners will have the option of choosing one or a combination of the following prizes, subject to the maximum value threshold awarded to each winner as contained in clause 12 below:

a)  weekend getaway to a beachside paradise;

b)  high end wining and dining and spa getaways; and

c)  an ultimate travel adventure.

 

Please note that the prizes are only available in the city in which you reside, subject to availability.

 

12. The first-prize winner will have the option of choosing one or a combination of the above-mentioned prizes to the value of R18 000 (eighteen thousand Rand). The second-prize winner will have the option to choose one or a combination of the prizes to the value of R7 000 (seven thousand Rand), and the third-prize winner will have the option to choose one or a combination of the prizes to the value of R5 000 (five thousand Rand).

 

13. Please note that the prizes will be allocated in accordance with the order that the qualifying winners were drawn. Hence, the first prize will be given to the first qualifying winner drawn, the second prize to the second qualifying winner drawn and the third prize to the third qualifying winner drawn.

 

14. Multiple entries will be permitted however duplicate referrals will be deemed invalid. For the avoidance of doubt, a duplicate referral shall mean a referral which is already on the dotsure.co.za system.

 

15. The prizes shall be sent to the qualifying winners via email, to the email address specified by the winners.

 

16. The winners will be notified by way of an e-mail as well as by being notified through a WhatsApp message from a dotsure.co.za representative.

 

17. The prizes are non-transferable and there are no other alternatives.

 

18. Fraudulent entries will not be allowed. dotsure.co.za reserves the right to disregard these entries.

 

19. We will respond to any questions or queries about the competition via desmond@dotsure.co.za.

 

20. By accepting the terms and conditions, all participants hereby consent thereto that, should they be drawn as one of the winners, they allow dotsure.co.za to publish their first name in either an email or WhatsApp announcing the winners. Should the winner however not want their first name published, they must inform dotsure.co.za immediately, failing which dotsure.co.za will proceed to publish their first name.

 

21. No employees, directors, members, consultants, or agents of Dotsure Limited or any of its related or interrelated entities are eligible to enter this competition, nor are any of their immediate family members.

 

22. Should dotsure.co.za be unable to contact one of the winners and/or should one of the winners fail to respond to communications sent to the contact details on record, within 7 (seven) days from the date that the winner was notified, dotsure.co.za reserves the right to draw another winner, withdraw the prize completely or donate the prize to a registered charity of its choice.

 

23. dotsure.co.za accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury, or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of taking part in the competition. dotsure.co.za further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to you or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the competition.

 

24. dotsure.co.za reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this competition with or without prior notice. The decision of dotsure.co.za in all matters under its control is final and binding.

 

25. dotsure.co.za shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation, or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.

 

26. The competition will be governed by South African law and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

 

27. These terms and conditions constitute the competition rules, which are available for inspection on the dotsure.co.za website.

 

28. ALL ENTRANTS WILL BE DEEMED TO HAVE ACCEPTED THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
